Coffee & Tobacco

In 2012 I became obsessed with art studies, I was 5 years old and lived in Hamburg, Germany.

I think having many spaces is important because by having 5 studios you work 5 times more and in this way you feel the enormous need to put together each one of them. This is the main studio where I work when I am in Germany. The curious and strange thing is that in each studio different works emerge.

I always need a special state of mind for artistic creation, I require a kind of absolute silence. In the act of creation there is a great state of modesty, I work as if I were hiding, that is why I prefer to do it during the very early hours of the morning.

I get up very early and go into the studio when there are no interruptions and start working. If I have someone present, I definitely can't do it, so I don't allow even my family into the studio while I'm working.

Above all, work, production and creation are a modest, almost shameful act.

At all times and at any time in my studies I always have a splendid Starbucks coffee with me, and that is how the idea of creating a series of works with the theme “coffee and tobacco” was born. I thought of the project to be presented to Starbucks and to be able to collaborate together. The titles of the works are inspired by the different flavors and types of coffee they have. Tobacco gives a special touch to my deepest passions.
