Metanarratives of a dystopia - Origin

My work is the result of an introspection of universal themes and concepts that, through fictional societies, seek to reflect on real society and warn of the potential pitfalls of the present. These stories often focus on social inequality, the loss of freedom, dehumanization, authoritarian control, and environmental degradation, using dystopian worlds as a source of historical inspiration to generate a response and a moral purpose in readers and viewers.

In the context of dystopian narratives, metanarratives refer to the underlying messages and recurring themes that emerge from the stories. They are the ideas that transcend the specific plot and connect with the social, political, ethical, or technological fears and concerns of the real world.
